Unfortunately I have had very poor experiences with this animal hospital on multiple occasions. Most recently i brought my dog in for a hurt paw which he could not put weight on. After about an hour and two x-rays we were told by the vet that there seemed to be no breaks or serious injuries and to just take him home to rest. She did however point out a spot to us that she said was arthritis and commented on how odd that was given how young he is. (he is 3.5 years old and 140lbs so getting him to the vet was no easy task). $600 and NO SOLUTION later we were on our way home. They did not give him a splint or pain meds - just sent us on our way. Now after sending the xray to our vet and a real vet radiologist we have found out that the spot that was said to be "arthritis" is actually a fracture and probable ligament tear. Which will require surgery. Our poor dog has been suffering for almost a week now because this hospital is doing an extremely poor job doing their jobs. Although i had had other poor experiences here i figured i would give it another shot - but after this i will never return to this hospital and will tell everyone that i know to do the same.

I am so grateful for the amazing doctors at this pet ER. My little dog Dash ate a lamb bone and it became lodged in his esophagus. The wait was short, they took him back right away. They were so gentle with my dog, and gave him strong pain meds to ensure he wasn’t in any pain. Dr. Straus was able to get out the jagged bone without any injury to his esophagus at all. He is a truly gifted and skilled surgeon! Naturally, I was upset and so nervous for my little dog, yet the wonderful receptionists were so understaning, compassionate and sweet to me. I asked them a lot of questions, and they stayed sweet answering all of them. This clinic is so aboveboard and honest. I trust them totally with my beloved pets. It’s a wonderful place to go if your pet has an emergency.

Way over priced, they try to force you into doing procedures not need will tell you your pet will die if certain things are not done just to jack up the price. Most vets who practice there is just what they do practice!!! Some very nasty, had to use them a few times only to find out I knew more than they knew. When your at your lowest and worried sick about your pet they suck as much out of you as they can. We need a caring emergency clinic in our area that does not go the bottom line MONEY. Will try the one in Randolph if I ever have to use a emergency clinic in the future. Or end up fighting `tooth and nail about getting ripped off.

Outstanding staff! Caring, efficient and nice. INCREDIBLY expensive $$$$! I understand it costs a lot to run a 24 hour clinic and I appreciate that they are there. But $650 for a quick exam of my kitty and the decision to euthanize?!

I had the very unfortunate late night emergency of my dearly loved dog having gastric tortion. I knew what that was already and it was what I thought was happening. The moment I came through the front doors someone got on the PA and called for emergency personnel stat. They knew I was coming because I called and asked them to please be ready for us, which they appeared to be. The condition is a death sentence for almost any dog that gets it and the ones that go through surgery have incredible recovery and medical costs. The staff was so compassionate towards me from the first moment, through my dog's last moment and on through my own recovery state. I can't express how much my dog meant to me and how shockingly quick it all happened. She was an otherwise healthy 18 year old dog with only some hip and arthritis problems. Her primary vet recently referred to her as remarkable. It's the kind of decision you don't think you can make but when you're there in that moment, you do know what the right thing to do is. I am so sorry for the pain she endured and I still feel a little at blame - but I am confident she received the best and thorough medical care she could have anywhere. They sent us a lovely card expressing their condolences which I found to be very touching. I'm not sure what other kinds of emergencies or problems they deal with over there but I can say I will never forget the color of the tiles, the posters on the wall nor the table in the private room. I certainly won't forget how it felt being there under those conditions. I am glad it was their doors I brought her through because anything else wouldn't have been good enough for my dog.
